The 828RC OBS Body (Comp Version) is a competition-focused evolution of our standard OBS body for the Axial SCX30 platform. Designed for maximum tire clearance and aggressive crawling, this version maintains the recognizable OBS profile while incorporating strategic body modifications that improve performance on the rocks without completely sacrificing scale presence.

The comp version features a pinched cab and pinched bed along with a bobbed rear bed, significantly reducing overhang and improving departure angles. The body is trimmed for maximum clearance and includes a tube-style front bumper, allowing for improved approach angles and reduced front-end interference when climbing. These changes make the comp OBS body ideal for high-clearance, performance-driven SCX30 builds.

The main body is 3D printed in PLA Meta and supplied in several colors depending on material availability. It arrives ready for prep and paint. Included components such as the grille and bumper elements are printed in Black PLA Meta for a clean finish. As with the standard version, this body utilizes chassis-mounted magnetic mounting via PLA mag mounts that bolt directly to the SCX30 chassis in place of the factory lighting brackets. Eight magnets are included to secure the body, and adhesive is required for final assembly. Shoe-Goo or a similar flexible adhesive is recommended. Also includes front and rear transparent lenses.

Despite the aggressive trimming and comp-focused design, the cab and bed are interchangeable with the standard OBS body, allowing builders to mix and match components depending on desired wheelbase, clearance, or visual style. This modular approach keeps the OBS platform flexible while offering a true competition-ready option.

The Standard OBS Body is designed as a true scale body, maintaining factory-style proportions, full bed length, and a clean OEM-inspired appearance while still being trail capable.

The OBS Comp Body is purpose-built for performance, featuring a pinched cab, pinched and bobbed bed, aggressive trimming, and a tube front bumper for maximum clearance and improved approach and departure angles. This version prioritizes crawling performance while still retaining recognizable OBS styling.
