828RC OBS Body – SCX30 Scale Body

The 828RC OBS Body is a true scale body designed specifically for the Axial SCX30 platform, capturing the clean, boxy lines and proportions of a late-80s/early-90s full-size pickup while staying fully compliant as a generic OBS design. This body follows the same scale-first approach as our standard Squarebody, prioritizing realism, detail, and proper fitment without sacrificing durability.

The main body is 3D printed in PLA Meta and supplied in several colors depending on material availability. It arrives ready for prep and paint, making it an ideal starting point for detailed scale builds or custom finishes. Included with the body are a highly detailed front grille along with front and rear bumpers, all printed in Silk Silver PLA+ for a clean metallic appearance straight out of the box. Also includes clear front lenses and transparent red rear lenses.

Chassis-mounted magnetic body mounting is handled by included PLA mag mounts that bolt directly to the SCX30 chassis in place of the factory lighting brackets. Eight magnets are included to secure the body, allowing for a clean, pin-free installation while maintaining easy body removal. For best results, we recommend using Shoe-Goo or a similar adhesive to permanently secure the magnets to both the mounts and the body.

Like the Squarebody, the OBS Body is designed as a true scale option, maintaining realistic proportions, proper ride height, and compatibility with scale accessories while still allowing for trail and crawling use. This is a direct scale counterpart to the Squarebody platform, offering a different era and look without changing fitment or mounting style.
